From Teacher to Birth Worker

Before birth work, I was a teacher. But everything shifted after having my own 4 beautiful children. They opened my eyes to how deeply mothers need support — the kind I wish I’d had.

My Birth Story → My Passion

My first birth ended in an “emergency” c-section that didn’t have to happen. My first breastfeeding journey came with oral ties, NICU time, low supply, and bleeding, cracked nipples.

If I’d had a doula, maybe birth would’ve been different. Without my IBCLC Ania, I wouldn’t have made it 2 years nursing my 3 older kids. Those hard starts led me here. My first trauma led to 3 beautiful VBACs.

My feeding struggles led me to become a CLC. Now I’m passionate about helping women come to birth and breastfeeding with excitement and empowerment instead of fear.

Why I Do This Work

I love seeing that “Wow, my body did this. I am so strong” moment whether it’s when you hold your baby for the first time, or when feeding finally clicks at 2am.

Every birth and feeding journey is unique. Epidural or unmedicated. VBAC or cesarean. Exclusive breastfeeding, combo feeding, or pumping. You deserve to feel supported, informed, and respected no judgment.

What our clients say about care they received

Erica is the sweetest person I’ve ever met! She’s had such a positive impact on my breastfeeding journey. Just when I thought I was probably the worst parent for not being able to figure out what was going on with my baby and I, Erica was there cheering me on and reassuring me I am doing great. She not only sees me in office whenever I need but she’s just a text away, anytime or day I’ve needed her she’s there for anything! With the best advice too!! Thank you for all you’ve done, truly so thankful❤️

Erica has been so wonderful and supportive on my breastfeeding and new mom journey! Our little ones are only a month apart and she was able to understand what I’m going through and offer excellent guidance and reassurance. She came over to do an individualized session with me and afterwards I felt much more confident I was doing right by my new baby. She was a wealth of new information and so sweet with my son who was just post frenectomy. Her commitment to lactation is so admirable and she has always been quick to share she is just a text away. 🩷

I want to express my deepest gratitude for Erica’s endless support during the process of having a baby and preparing for speaking up for myself. Advocacy is huge, especially for mothers who have had and/or continue to have children, and the hospital, doctors, etc. can take advantage of you as I have seen it the first time, and the second time not so so much but I think with Erica’s help I was able to push for me and my baby to receive the right care! To have someone checking in to make sure all was good and going well, a way to voice opinions and choices, communicate things effectively and most of all just know what the process is all about. It was a lot for sure, but thank you Erica for not making me feel alone and chiming in constantly and seeing how things were going, that meant a ton!

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to expressing my gratitude. Before I met Erica, I honestly never believed a VBAC could be part of my story. Her passion, knowledge, and unwavering belief in women’s strength changed everything for me. Through her guidance and encouragement, I found the confidence to trust my body, my intuition, and the birth process in a way I never had before. She held space for me with such compassion — reminding me that birth can be empowering, not fearful. Because of her inspiration, I went into my second birth not just prepared, but truly believing in myself. And that belief made all the difference. My VBAC was successful, but more than that, it was healing — and I owe so much of that to her heart and dedication. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me see what was possible. I will forever be grateful for your presence on this journey.

I’d like to share my amazing experience with Erica as my support doula through my VBAC and her breastfeeding support after.

Erica provided me so much education on my options for induction and really helped me to advocate for myself. She reminded me the power I have in my choices for the birth of my baby.

I don’t think I would’ve been as confident and comfortable with my choices if I didn’t have Erica as support.

Erica continued to support me as a lactation specialist, giving me tips and tricks, and assuring me it was okay to keep trying. We went from supplementing with formula multiple times a day to barely at all now within only a couple weeks.

I am beyond grateful for Erica, for her knowledge, her support and encouragement through my entire journey. I highly recommend her for any momma needing that support or even just someone to reassure them that they’re doing a great job.
